ADGP – Australian Drifting Grand Prix – Round 3 – Barbagallo Raceway

Round 3 of the ADGP came to Perth on the 18th and 19th of November bringing with it some awesome Eastern States talent. The local drivers didn’t disappoint with some awesome drives and everyone giving their all.

I attended the Saturday session as a spectator and what a turnout it was. The promoters and organisers did a great job of keeping the crowds entertained, mixing FMX stunt shows in with the drift rounds and Time Attack racing.

Keeping the drifting to the top of the track made for closer, more exciting racing as it meant the racing became more about driver skill rather than a battle of horsepower.

I take my hat off to the promoters and organisers for bringing a National round to Perth. Hopefully there is enough interest within the Australian drifting community to ensure another series happens next year. This is brilliant for the sport locally as it gives drivers and sponsors some great exposure on a national level.

Congratulations go to Luke Fink for the win, Danny Vahoumis for 2nd place and Karl Nuske for 3rd.
